Support Staff

We have roles for support staff throughout the year – on a permanent or long term supply basis.  All roles require an enhanced up-to-date DBS certificate and 6 months experience verified by reference.  These roles include: 

Teaching Assistants

You’ll work alongside school teachers to support individuals or groups of pupils, helping them get the most out of their learning.  We can help you with both higher level teaching assistant and SEN teaching assistant roles.  You don’t have to hold a specific qualification but you will need a minimum of 6 months experience working in a classroom setting. 

Cover Supervisors

You will cover the short-term absence of a teacher, supervise the work the absent teacher has set out, manage pupil behaviour and create a constructive environment. Prior experience working with children aged between 12 and 18 is required. 

Exam Invigilators

You will support the examination process during exam periods at schools. This includes supervising the students sitting exams, providing assistance where necessary and preventing cheating. You don’t need any previous experience or training although this is an advantage.

School Administrator at the school office

We are looking for candidates who can multi-task, deal with confidential information and can be flexible in their role.  You must have good IT skills, excellent written and spoken English.  Experience of a schools office system such as SIMS is often required. 


We will look to connect you with a school for direct employment.  If your application is succesful, you’ll become a direct employee of the school and paid an annual salary. 

Long or short-term agency

We have a mix of long and short-term assignments.  These placements are usually paid weekly and are generally on an ongoing basis and could lead to a permanent role. 

Daily supply or substitute

You’ll work on a short-term basis at a variety of schools in the local area.  Such flexible, temporary work requires no notice period.  

Guaranteed supply contracts

Guaranteed Payment contracts guarantee you a secured income even if you don't work all five days of the working week.  You will be retained on a substitute basis.  This particularly suits overseas trained teachers and newly qualified teachers who are just starting work in England.
